Chocoloate Mint Brownies

Found this recipe in the Worldwide Ward Cookbook. I made a few changes to the recipe. They are very rich but delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 Cup cocoa powder
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups flour
Directions:
  1. Mix butter, cocoa, and sugar
  2. Add eggs one at a time, make sure to mix well after each egg.
  3. Stir in flour
  4. Spread into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
  5. Cool completely before frosting
Mint Frosting

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1 lb. Powdered sugar
  • 1-3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. mint extract
  • Green food coloring
Directions:
  1. Mix butter and powdered sugar. Add only enough milk to make a smooth consistency.
  2. Add mint extract and green food coloring.
Frosting will be thick. Spread over brownie layer. Refrigerate

Chocolate Topping

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
Directions:
Melt ingredients in microwave. Stir well and drizzle over the top of the brownies.

* Let brownies set for at least 10 minutes at room temperature before serving or your frosting may crumble.
